The official site lists the Muang Thai Chiang Mai Marathon on Sunday 20 December 2026, linked to the 730th anniversary of Chiang Mai city. It offers a marathon, half marathon, 10K run and a non-competitive 3K Smile Run that includes a kids run for ages 12 and under.
The marathon and half marathon start at Tha Phae Gate and finish at the King Naresuan the Great Monument in Mae Rim. Entry fees for overseas participants in the regular period (16 June to 31 October) are THB 1,500 for the marathon, THB 1,200 for the half, THB 700 for the 10K, THB 600 for the 3K Smile Run and THB 500 for the kids 3K.
